Eva Amy Carroll, 85, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022, peacefully at home.
Eva was born Dec. 25, 1936, in Fayetteville, the daughter of the late Morris and Vella Jordan.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a warm hearted, caring person who loved to cook for her family and friends. She was a faithful member of the Delco P.F.W.B Church before she became ill.
The family will receive friends and family from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 12, at Delco Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church, 283 Kaiser Rd. Her funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 12, at the church, with Revs. Dewey Ball, Patsy Smith and Jerome Bullard officiating. Burial will be in the Delco Cemetery. Peacock Funeral Home of Whiteville is serving the family.
Serving as pallbearers will be Pete Peterson, Jerome Bullard, David Carroll, William James Skipper, Kevin Squires and Danny Peterson. Honorary pallbearers are Wade Jordan and Ricky Squires.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Eugene Carroll; three children, Randy Eugene Carroll, Tony Marvin Carroll (Nicole), Melinda Carroll Strickland (Jimmy); and two grandchildren, Winston Presley Mintz and Summer Nicole Carroll. She is also survived by her sister, Esty Bullard.
