Geraldine Whittaker, 74, died Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCare Center.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 21 at Saint Mary’s Baptist Church, Old Hwy. 74, Evergreen with Rev. Nathaniel Scott officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Community Cemetery. Viewing will be held from noon-7 p.m. Monday, June 20 at Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville and Tuesday, June 21 following the service at the church.
Surviving are her husband, Calbert W. Whittaker; one son, Danny Gibson of Council; three sisters, Iona Apple of Evergreen, Shirley Evans of Whiteville and Inez Lennon of Durham; and five grandchildren.
