Glenda Renee Wolfe Horne, 46, of the Oak Dale community, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017 at Columbus Regional Healthcare in Whiteville.
She was the daughter of Glenda Lee Evans Wolfe of Whiteville and the late Charles Blair Wolfe.
Renee was a graduate of Whiteville High School (1989), graduate of Appalachian State University (1994) and later received her master’s in Early Childhood Development at Pembroke State University. She was employed as a kindergarten teacher at Whiteville Primary for 22 years during her teaching career.
She was a member of Oak Dale Baptist Church, a member of the Whiteville Optimist Club and a consultant with Premier Jewelers for seven years.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3 at Worthington Funeral Home. Final rites will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 4 at Worthington Funeral Home with Pastor Dean Jackson and Rev. Randy Speight officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Dale Baptist Church Cemetery.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Horne of the home; one sister, Kelly W. Burchette (Scott) of Chadbourn; and one nephew, Evan Young of Chadbourn.
