Grace Childress LaRue, 82, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCare Center in Whiteville,
Final rites will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25 at Avant’s Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Mack Watts officiating. Interment will be in the Shaw Cemetery. Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn is handling the arrangements.
She is survived by one son, Walter Edmond Berry of the home; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
