Helen Jeanette Ward Parnell

Helen Jeanette Ward Parnell, 78, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017. She was born Nov. 3, 1938 in Robeson County to the late Samuel Ward Sr. and the late Mary Helen Branch Ward. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elton A. Parnell; and her sister, Nonie Pittman.
She will be remembered for her many years as a legal secretary for Musselwhite, Musselwhite, Musselwhite, Grantham and Branch Law Firm.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5 at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory, Inc. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 6 at Gardens of Faith Cemetery with Rev. Michael Bowen officiating.
She is survived by one son, Mike Parnell of Whiteville; two brothers, Joe Ward and Sammy Ward, both of Lumberton; and one grandson of Whiteville.
