Helen Sue Williamson Green

Helen Sue Williamson Green, 75, went to be with her Lord Friday, Sept. 11, 2020, at Columbus Regional Healthcare in Whiteville.

Helen was born May 25, 1945, in Lumberton, to the late J.B. Williamson and Tressa Gatsey Williamson.

Ms. Green was an educator in the public school system. She taught at Acme-Delco and Evergreen Elementary schools, but retired due to declining health.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Caines and Mr. Carl Brown officiating. Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn is serving the family.

Survivors include two sisters, Shirley W. Nanceand Dana W. Ivey and husband, Wayne, both of Evergreen; nieces and nephews, Shelley Nance, Chris Nance, Kent Ivey, Jamie Ivey; great nephews and nieces, Zack Ivey, Brayden Nance, McKenly High, Macelynn Nance, Emmalee Nance; and a great-great niece, Miss Chanslee Ty Merritt.
