Henry Homer Duncan, 96, died Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington. He was born Oct. 13, 1925, in Tabor City, the son of the late Alton Edwin Duncan and Retha Lola (Long) Duncan.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Lucille Wood Duncan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Virgie Smith, Cecil Rita Duncan (infant), Virginia Moore, Magdalene Jenkins; and three brothers, Alton Wayman Duncan (infant), Charles Duncan and Jimmie Duncan.

Mr. Duncan proudly served as a U.S. Marine during WWII, serving in the South Pacific.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 28, at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Wilmington. Andrews Mortuary is serving the family.
He is survived by his son, Henry Duncan of the home; two brothers, Tom Duncan and wife, Clara, of Nakina and Pete Duncan of Tabor City; and many nieces and nephews.
