Ivey C. Duncan, 91, died Monday, July 11, 2016 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCare Center in Bolivia. Born Aug. 24, 1924 in Socastee, S.C., he was the son of the late Luther Duncan and Hannah Stalvy Duncan; and the widower of Helen Rymkiewicz Duncan. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Alice Duncan, Ila Rhodes, Geneva Cannon; and one brother, Berris JR Duncan.
He was a retired Veteran of the U.S. Army.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 13 at Inman Ward Funeral Home in Tabor City. Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 14 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City.
He is survived by one brother, Charles Warren Duncan of Lexington; and one sister, Juanita Duncan Strickland of Clarendon.
