Lake Waccamaw

Jacquelin Brown, 69, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCare Center in Whiteville. She was born July 6, 1948 in Forsyth County. She was the daughter of the late Jesse Bardon Brown and Martile Robinson Brown. She was preceded in death by, in addition to her parents, one sister, Karen Brown Skaggs.
She was a graduate of Columbia Bible College with a degree in Music and Bible. She was formerly employed as a Bible teacher at AL Brown High School in Kannapolis. She was also employed at Service Master in Florida. She was a freelance marketing and website designer. She was the music director and counselor at the Ambassador Camp at Lake Waccamaw.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Nov. 25 in the chapel of Peacock Funeral Home in Whiteville with Rev. Bobby Phillips officiating.
She is survived by two brothers, Woody Boykin of Whiteville, Webb Brown of Clinton; sisters, Brenda Mason of Southside, Ala., Ella Nora Brownlee of Hallsboro and Donna Smith of Lake Waccamaw.
