James Milton Heustess, 74, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Jeanette Heustess; one brother, John Heustess; and one sister, Charlotte Savage. James was a devoted husband, daddy and papa who loved his family, farming, hunting and fishing.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday, June 12, 2017 at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 13 at White Plains Presbyterian Church in Council with Dr. Robert Heustess and Rev. May Craven officiating. Burial will be in church cemetery.
James is survived by his wife, Barbara Heustess of the home; three daughters, Tammy H. Campbell (Kenneth) and Jamie H. Griffin (Steve), both of Clarkton, Angie H. Campbell (Kevin) of Council; three brothers, Rufus Heustess of Elizabethtown, Harris Heustess of Bladenboro, Robert Heustess of Louisiana; two sisters, Bertha Dennis of Albemarle, Mary Alice Packer of Clarkton; and eight grandchildren, Megan De Thaey (Thomas), Stephanie Griffin, Spencer Campbell, Dylan Campbell, Savannah Campbell, Camille Campbell, Alexys Griffin and Jacob Griffin.
