James Renwick ‘Renn’ Watts

James Renwick “Renn” Watts, 69, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. He was the son of the late Thetis Blackwell Watts and William Devaul Watts. He was also preceded in death by three siblings, William Devaul Watts Jr., Robert Gayle Watts and Paul David Watts.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Army.

He was employed as a security officer over the years at Columbus Regional Healthcare and Southeastern Community College.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28 at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn with Rev. Steve Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. (one hour prior to the service) Tuesday, Nov. 28 at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Ann Greenwood Watts of the home; and two step-children, Jamie Williamson of Coco Beach, Fla. and Tammy Watkins of Chadbourn.
