Jimmy Harvey Bullock, 77, died Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Whiteville. He was born Aug. 31, 1943 in Horry County, S.C., the son of the late Harvey Lewis Bullock and Reba Graham Bullock.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Bullock; one sister, Lula Viola Lookabill; one daughter, Erma Jean Bullock; and one grandson, Aaron McCormick.
Mr. Bullock was a retired Service Technician for Battle LP Gas in Nichols, S.C. He was also a member of Porter Swamp Baptist Church and was active in the Brotherhood.
His funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, June 7, at Porter Swamp Baptist Church in Cerro Gordo, with the Revs. Tim Moore and Maxie Hardee officiating. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall at 2 p.m., prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Meares Funeral Home is serving the family.
Surviving are his wife, Rosa Lee Bullock of the home; two sons, Christopher D. Bullock and wife, Jenny, of Nichols, S.C. and Michael McCormick and wife, Crystal, of Florence, S.C.; one daughter, Sheila Connor and husband, Michael, of Fair Bluff; two sisters, Gerri Machmer and husband, Paul, and Sylvia Bissell, both of Holden Beach; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
