Karen Rhea Mellon Smith, 69, died Monday, July 31, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Mildred Mellon.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1 at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Bladenboro. Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2 at Zion Hill Baptist Church. Burial will be in Memory Lane Cemetery in Bladenboro. Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown is handling the arrangements.
She is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Britt of the home; one brother, Author Mellon of California; and two grandchildren.
