Katherine “Kathy” Blackmon Coleman, 68, formerly of Columbus County, died Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg. She was the daughter of the late Steven and Bernice Rhuark Coleman and the widow of Johnny Earl Coleman. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Daniel Blackmon.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 27 at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. Final rites will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 28 at the funeral home with Dr. Tommy Bryson and Rev. Tommy Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City.
She is survived by one son, Johnny D. Coleman of Red Springs; one daughter, Lora Lynn Coleman of Red Springs
