Letha Mae Ray, 86, died Sunday Aug. 14, 2016 at her home. Born July 22, 1930 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late H. Frank Long and Annie Mae Stanley Long and the widow of William Floyd Ray. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Mack Long.
She was a member of Forest Lawn Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17 in the chapel of Inman Ward Funeral Home. Final rites will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
She is survived by one son, Floyd Dale Ray of Tabor City; two daughters, Barbara Britt of Whiteville, Billie Daniels of Tabor City; one brother, Jack Long of Fayetteville; three sisters, Beatrice Smith of Hampton, Va., Sadie Buffkin of Florence, S.C., Betty Mills of Fayetteville; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
