Lisa Duncan Buffkin


Lisa Duncan Buffkin, 52, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017 at Columbus Regional Healthcare in Whiteville.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13 at Worthington Funeral Home. Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13 at Wards Station Church of God with Revs. Darrell Hooker, Chris Yarnshinsky and Randolph Smith officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Richard “Ricky” Elliot Buffkin of the home; two daughters, Amanda Buffkin Green and her husband, Matthew, of Clarendon and Amber Leigh Buffkin of Chadbourn; three step-children, Derrick Buffkin (Dawn) of Lumberton, Kelly Dorsey and her husband, Jason, of Chadbourn and Elliott Buffkin and his wife, Terri, of Evergreen; her parents, Grady and Martha Nobles Duncan of Chadbourn; one brother, Mark Duncan and his wife, Angela, of Chadbourn; six grandchildren, Mia Buffkin, Cody Rice, Chloe Dorsey, Jordan Dorsey, Stephen Buffkin and Karlie Buffkin; mother-in-law, Margaret Sellers of Evergreen; father-in-law, Clauson Buffkin of Whiteville; nieces, Melissa Watts (Danny) and Cory Duncan (Cody); great-niece and nephew, Olivia Watts and Joshua Watts.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wards Station Church of God, Children’s Ministry Fund, 5478 Rough & Ready Road, Chadbourn, N.C. 28431.
