Lois FormyDuval Hewett


Lois FormyDuval Hewett, 90, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016 at her home after an illness. She was born in Columbus County, Aug. 13, 1925, the daughter of Major FormyDuval and Lou Pierce FormyDuval.
She and her husband, the late Dykes Hewett, owned and operated Shady Park Exxon Station for 56 years.
Final rites will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, July 25 in the Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Joe Needham and Dr. Dave Heller officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, July 25 one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Brunswick Memorial Gardens.
Casket bearers will be Jerry Ezzell, Al Milliken, Jamie Milliken, McRay Simmons, Derek Ezzell and Lee Ezzell.
Surviving are her nephew, Bobby Ezzell (Rosanna) of Whiteville; sisters-in-laws, Carol Hewett of Clemmons and Anna FormyDuval of Wilmington; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Sue Pendergraft and Janet Thompson.
Memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice House, 955 Mercy Lane, Bolivia, N.C. 28422.
