Lou Lilly Gooden, 81, died Wednesday, March 7, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents Hanes and Ledie Vause; husbands, Albert Smith, Thomas Parks and Leon Gooden; one son, Jerry Wayne Smith; and a granddaughter.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, March 10 at Mt. Horeb Presbyterian Church followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mark Creech officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown is handling the arrangements.
She is survived by Raymond Miller of Council; one son, James Franklin Smith of Council; two daughters, Mary Lou S. Moore of Elizabethtown and Loretta Howell of Council; two brothers, Eddie Vause of Council and Clayton Vause of Dublin; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
