Lula Faulk Burgess, 95, died Sunday Jan. 1, 2017 at Premier Living. She was born Aug. 18, 1921 in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Marshall C. Norris and Pattie Jacobs Norris. She was the widow of Arthur W. Faulk and Andrew Burgess. She was a beautician and operated her own beauty shop.
She was a member of Lake Waccamaw First Baptist Church.
The  family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4 at Peacock Funeral Home in Whiteville. Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4 graveside at Peacock’s Columbus Memorial Park.
She is survived by two sons, Glenn Faulk and wife, Mary Jane, and Charles F. “Joe” Faulk and wife, Brenda, both of Lake Waccamaw; and four grandchildren, Chris Faulk and wife, Jessica, of Delco and their children, Cassidy, River, Gracen and Tanner; Rachel Elkins and husband, Eddie, of Clarkton and their children, Chase and Reese; Hayden Ward of Whiteville and her children, Seth and Alan; Thad Faulk and wife, Kelly, and their children, Olivia and Paul.
