Lula Mae Pigotte Holmes, 83, died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017 at her residence.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29 at Ocean View Missionary Baptist Association Center, 7550 Ocean Hwy. West, Sunset Beach, with Rev. Joey Hill officiating. Viewing will be held from noon-7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28 at Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville and Sunday, Jan. 29 one hour prior to and following the service at the center. Burial will be in the Angela Faye Memorial Cemetery.
Surviving are her husband, Judge L. Holmes Jr.; one daughter, Nedia Stevenson of Cleburne, Texas; three sons, Wendell Hill of Shallotte, Joey Hill of Bolivia and Landis Hill of Winnabow; one sister, Bernice Pigotte of Shallotte; and one brother, James Alton Pigotte of Shallotte.
