Margie (Ivey) Floyd

Margie (Ivey) Floyd, 78, of the Macedonia community, entered into the presence of her Lord Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022, at Columbus Regional Healthcare in Whiteville
Margie was born May 9, 1943, to the late Hobson Leroy and Vera Estelle Nance Ivey.
Margie, along with her late husband, Bobby Floyd, were retired farmers in the Macedonia community; and owned and operated Floyds Grocery in the Macedonia Community, for more than 20 years. She was a lifetime member of Macedonia Baptist Church, which she attended faithfully.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Jimmy Caines officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-1:45, prior to the service Saturday, in the church sanctuary in Evergreen. Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn is serving the family.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna F. Godwin and her husband, Kevin, and Angela Floyd, both of Evergreen; one son, Greg Floyd (Rhonda) of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; four siblings, Linda Brown, Janice Brown (Carl) and Wayne Ivey (Dana), all of Evergreen, Harold Ivey (Jeanne) of Fletcher; eight grandchildren, Brett Godwin, Andrea Godwin, Whitney Godwin, Morgan Priest, Cory Priest, Kainan Floyd, Tailor Godwin and Haleigh Godwin; and three great-grandchildren, Rylee Godwin, Bryson Godwin and Baileyanna Cartrette.
