Mr. Mark Alan Ellis, 57, died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.
He was born in Columbus County Aug. 13, 1960, a son, of Hilda Gray Brown Ellis and the late W.C. Ellis. Mr. Ellis was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Ellis.
Mr. Ellis was a member of the Fair Bluff Baptist Church and attended Williamson’s Crossroad Baptist Church in Chadbourn. He was a carpenter in the construction business.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22 at Fair Bluff United Methodist Church with Rev. Neill Smith and Pastor Jim Lamb officiating. The family will receive friends from noon-12:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22 prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Bethesda Southern Methodist Church Cemetery on Hwy 38 South in Latta, S.C. Meares Funeral Home of Fair Bluff in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Nolan Ellis; one son, Timothy Berry of Chadbourn; one daughter, Erica McKeithan and her husband, Patrick, of Chadbourn; brother-in-law, Jimmy Nolan of Latta S.C.; one brother, Terrell Ellis of Fair Bluff; three grandchildren, Emma Grace Berry, Lilly Brooke McKeithan and Carson Joel Berry; and special friend’s Bob Baker and Ralph Pandure, both of Myrtle Beach, S.C.
