Mary Louise Watts Etheridge, 67, passed away peacefully after her struggle with dementia Saturday, Sept. 18, 2016 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCare Center. She was born Dec. 15, 1948, the daughter of the late Joseph Fred Watts and Vestus Watts. She was the widow of Billy “Freddie” Etheridge.
In addition to her parents and husband of 46 years, she was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph Fred Watts Jr., George Watts and Eugene Watts.
Mrs. Etheridge was a homemaker and a faithful member of Magnolia Missionary Baptist Church where she shared her love of being with others and helping her community.
Her service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21 at Magnolia Missionary Baptist Church, 1558 Crusoe Island Road. Family and friends will be received Wednesday, Sept. 21 one hour prior to the service at the church. Peacock Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
She is survived by one daughter, Vickie Sasser and husband, Doug; one son, Terry Etheridge, and wife, Patricia; one brother, Dennis Watts; one sister, Shirley Canady; two grandsons Justin Evans and wife, Summer, and Ron Sasser; and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Etheridge
