Mavis Lavern Flowers, 57, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2017 at her mother’s home in Whiteville.
She was a minister at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Whiteville.
The funeral will be held at noon Wednesday, Aug. 16 at the Brunswick-Waccamaw Baptist Headquarters, 600 Pinelog Road in Whiteville with Dr. Timothy A. Lance officiating. Viewing will be held from noon-7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15 at Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville and Wednesday, Aug. 16 one hour prior to and following the service at the headquarters. There will be a wake Tuesday, Aug. 15 from 6-7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Belvue Cemetery.
Surviving are one daughter, Erlanda Smith of Greensboro; two sons, Albert Smith Jr. of Chadbourn and Darius Smith of Concord; and her mother, Ruby Mingo of Whiteville.
Friends may visit the family at 502 East Institute Street, Chadbourn.
