Nell Stone Malcolm, 86, died Thursday, June 9, 2016 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCare Center in Whiteville. She was the daughter of the late Theodore R. Stone and Alieen Hardin Stone and was preceded in death by her husband. Willie Ray Malcolm .
She was a member of Fair Bluff Baptist Church and worked with Scott Motor company as a bookkeeper for five years.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 15 at the Fairmont City Cemetery with Rev. Todd Padgett officiating. McKenzie Mortuary of Whiteville is handling the arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Karen Malcolm (Travis) Neese of Durham; one son, Martin L. “Chip” Malcolm of Wilksboro; two brothers, Gerald Barnes Stone of Fair Bluff and Douglas (Cathy) Stone of Lincoln County; and one sister, Elsie Stone Smith of Darlington, S.C.
