Pearl Simmons Clewis, 83, died Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Liberty Commons Nursing Facility. She was the daughter of William E. Simmons and Iva Parker Simmons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin Clewis; three brothers, Roscoe Simmons, Randolph Simmons and Norwood Simmons; and one sister, Jewel S. Spivey.
She was a member of Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held from 10-10:45 a.m. Tuesday, June 14 at Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church. Final rites will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 14 at the church with Rev. Jamey Ward officiating. Burial will be in the Evans Cemetery. McKenzie Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
