Peggy Mae Strickland Dippel


Peggy Mae Strickland Dippel, 74, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Lifecare Center in Whiteville.
She was the daughter of the late Susie Boswell and Dennis Strickland and the widow of Lyle Duane Dippel. She was also preceded in death by three siblings, Cecil Strickland, Larry Strickland and Dennis Mitchell Strickland.
She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She also was a devoted Christian who led many people to accepting the Lord as their personal savior. Peggy was a very loving and giving person. She enjoyed going into her favorite restaurants and provided gifts to those in need. Her family will always remember her for being a great mother and for the good deeds that she did for all.
Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Friday, June 9 at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn with a graveside service following at 11:30 a.m. at Whiteville Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Buddy Seay officiating.
Peggy Dippel leaves to cherish her memory, children, Deanna D. Little and her husband, Johnny M. Little of Western Prong, Kenneth Dippel and Kimberly Fowler, both of Loris, S.C., Michael Dippel of Whiteville and Tammy Strickland of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; three siblings, Bonnie Strickland Worley, Linda Strickland and Billy Strickland, all of Cerro Gordo; eight grandchildren, Tyler Dippel, Kelby Dippel, Emma Leah Dippel, Brandon Dippel, Kristen Little, Kayla Little, Christian Fowler and Payton Fowler; and two great-grandchildren, Parker Dippel and Ethan Holtsclaw.
