Raunchy Wendell Shipman

WHITEVILLE — Raunchy Wendell Shipman, 59, died Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at his residence. He was the son of the late William Dewey Shipman Sr. and Zenah Mae Clarida Shipman.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Final rites will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 19 at the Brunswick-Waccamaw Baptist Headquarters, 600 Pinelog Road with Pastor Carlos Shipman officiating. Viewing will be held from noon-7 p.m. Monday, June 18 at Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville and Tuesday, June 19 following the service at the church. There will be a wake Monday, June 18 from 6-7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial, with military honors, will be in the George Cemetery.
Surviving are his sisters, Annie M. Rhodes of Riegelwood, Brunella Shipman of Clarkton, Willa Dean Shipman Williams of Whiteville and Callie Mae Shipman of Greensboro; and one brother, Michael Shipman of Fayetteville.
Friends may visit the family at 2223 Red Store Road, Whiteville.
