Reba Olivia Larrimore Williamson

Reba Olivia Larrimore Williamson, 91, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016 at Kirby Pines Retirement Community. She was born in Marion, S.C., but was raised in N.C. where she was married to the late Davis E. Williamson for 69 years. She was the daughter of the late M.L. Larrimore and Liller Tyler Larrimore.
She operated a children’s day care center for more than 30 years in Whiteville and Fayetteville. She and Davis loved to travel and had even driven from N.C. to Alaska and back after their retirement. They also drove to Mexico once and Canada twice.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1 at Peacock Funeral Home. Final rites will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1 in the funeral home chapel. Officiating at the service will be Philip Norwood, minister of Whiteville Church of Christ where she was a member for several decades. Burial will be in Whiteville Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Douglas W. Williamson (born on Davis’ birthday) and his wife Patty, Larry D. Williamson of Burlison, Tenn. and Carolyn D. Hughes and her husband Michael of Marion, Ark. She is also survived by one sister; and three brothers. She also leaves 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
