Richard Lamar Jones Jr., 37, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016. He was born March 18, 1979 in Columbus County. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Macy Long Jr.; paternal grandfather, Willie James Jones; and paternal grandmother, Martha C. Jones.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9 at Peacock Funeral Home in Whiteville. Final rites will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10 in the funeral home chapel with Revs. Chris Stanley and Ken Sides officiting. Burial will be in the Long Cemetery in Pireway.
He is survived by his mother, Lisa Long of Tabor City; his father, Richard Lamar Jones Sr. of Whiteville; two sons, Byron Jones and Chandler Jones, both of Conway, S.C.; two brothers, Weston Inman of Ash and Eddie Graham, both of Conway, S.C.; maternal grandmother, Linda Long Alley of Ocean Isle.
