Rita Kay Long Graham, 56, of the St. James community, died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCare Center in Whiteville. She was the daughter of the late Irvin Woodrow and Ethel Julie Register Long. She was also preceded in death by four siblings, Kenneth Earl Long, William Albert Long, Rose Spaulding and Mary Helen Ward.
She was the activities director at Popular Heights in Elizabethtown for 16 years and previously at Premier Living in Whiteville.
Final rites will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13 at St. James Missionary Baptist Church with Revs. Curt Locklear and Roger Coffey officiating. Interment will be in the St. James Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. (one hour prior to the service) Saturday, Aug. 13 at the church.
She is survived by her husband, Cary Efton GrahamĀ Sr. of the home; one son, Terry Wayne Naron of Vermont; stepchildren, Cary E. Graham Jr. of Leland, Tutus E. Graham of Council; siblings, Carolyn L. Sellers, Barbara L. Floyd, Jerry Allen Long and Ronald Long, all of Whiteville; and 11 grandchildren.
