Robert Lee Williams


Mr. Robert Lee Williams, 75, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2017 at his home. Born Feb. 8, 1942 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Cephus and Smithie Cartrette Williams. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by an infant son, Robert Lee Williams Jr.; and one sister,  Agnes Clewis.

He was a member of Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church. His employers included National Spinning in Brunswick for seven years, Stackhouse in Wilmington for five years and Daniels Construction Company in Leland for 10 years.

Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9 at Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church. Visitation will be held Saturday, Dec. 9 one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Inman Ward Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel Jacobs Williams of the home; one daughter, Robin Williams Brown (Johnny) of Clarendon; three sisters, Elneta Strickland (Grady) of Cerro Gordo, Faye Bryant of Whiteville, Louvenia Williamson (Pug) of Chadbourn; one brother, J.C. Williams of Whiteville; and two grandchildren, Tiffany Brown and Matthew Brown.
