Sarah “Peggy” Aldridge Pittman, 78, formerly of Hallsboro, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2017. She was born Sunday, March 5, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Ferrell Aldridge and Myrtle Gladys Mobley; and was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Daniel W. Pittman Jr.
She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 7 at Whiteville Memorial Cemetery with Dr. Tommy Bryson officiating. McKenzie Mortuary of Whiteville is handling the arrangments.
Survivors include two daughters, Margo Pittman Talton (Jim) of Wilmington and Robin Pittman Mohr (Jim) of Holden Beach; one brother, Samuel Aldridge of Kenansville; and four grandchildren, Lauren Talton, Nicole Talton, Heather Talton and Carly Mohr.
