Shane Michael Jacobs, 44, was born May 2, 1973 in Elizabethtown the middle son of Rodney and Christine Jacobs. He was preceded in death by his father, Rodney (Roho) Jacobs; one sister, Elizabeth (Liz) Jacobs; grandmothers, Pauline Miles and Evelyn Freeman Jacobs; and a grandfather, Dock Owen Jacobs.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12 in the chapel of Wilmington Funeral and Cremation, 1535 S. 41st Street. Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13 at Mount Sinai Pentecostal Church in Bolton with Revs. Mike Jacobs, Jason Whitfield and Jerry Andrews officiating. Burial will be in Red Hill Cemetery in Bolton.
He was a member of the Waccamaw Siouan tribe. He participated in every parade and attended every Pow Wow, health permitting.
He married the love of his life, Tina Woodcock, Feb. 11, 2006.
He is survived by his wife, Tina Jacobs; two sons, Steven of Leland and Jay Jay of Riegelwood; one daughter, Hayley of Leland; his mother, Christine Jacobs of Leland; one sister, Margaret Jacobs of Bolton; three brothers, Roy of Hampstead, Ronald of Leland and Devon Jacobs of Bolton; his grandfather, Walter Miles; and six grandchildren.
