Sharon Kay Smith Sholes

Sharon Kay Smith Sholes, 65, went to be with her Lord Sunday July 17, 2022, at her residence after an extended illness.
Sharon was the daughter of the late Rev. George Calvin Smith and Mary Lou Smith. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Donna S. Edwards; and two stepchildren, Maurice Charles Sholes II and Stacie Sholes.
Her funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 21 at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. Visitiation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Smith Cemetery in Clarendon.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Maurice Charles Sholes of the home; three children, George Robert Bradley, Ann Marie Parks and Mary Kay McDaniel (Chris), all of Clarendon; two brothers, Rev. George Jerome Smith (Leona) of Robbins and Rev. Adolph Conrad Felix Smith (Maria) of Winnabow; a step-daughter, Michelle S. Johnson (Scott) of Four Oaks; a step-daughter-in-law, Phyllis Sholes of Four Oaks; nine grandchildren, Joseph Bradley, Cherokee Bradley, Mary Abigail Parks, Zachary Dillon Parks, Jason Colton Malpass, Matthew McDaniel, Braydon McDaniel, Adeline McDaniel, Bradley McDaniel; seven step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
