Vickie Shaw Caswell, 53, of Whiteville died Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. She was born Aug, 17, 1962 in Bladen County, the daughter of the late Thomas Lester Shaw and Vivian Gibson Shaw. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Thomas Shaw.
She formerly worked as a nursing assistant at Lake Waccamaw Assisted Living. She was also formerly employed at Washtub Laundry.
Final rites were held Sunday, June 26 in the chapel of Peacock Funeral Home. Burial was in Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Allen Caswell; two sons, Matthew Earl “Matt” Ward and Jeremy Ward, both of Whiteville; one brother, Billy Shaw of Bladenboro; one sister, Tammy Shaw of Richmond, Va.; and three granddaughters.
