Wanda Grainger Strickland, 70, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021, at her home with her family by her side. Born in Horry County, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Clinton M. Grainger and Juelene Larrimore Grainger.
A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced by Inman Ward Funeral Home and Crematory in Tabor City.
She is survived by her husband, Fred Strickland Jr. of the home; one daughter, Julie Walker and husband, Reggie, of Clarendon; one son, Jon Strickland and wife, Kendra, of Clarendon; one brother, Clinton Grainger and wife, Carolyn, of Whiteville; four sisters, Carolyn Fipps and husband, Anthony, Saundra Hardie and Teresa Stephens, all of Whiteville and Hilda Hardie of Lake Waccamaw; and two grandchildren, Jon Cruz Strickland and Kenley Strickland.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sweet Home Baptist Church, 3111 Walter Todd Rd., Clarendon, N.C. 28432.
