William “Bill” Franklin Honeycutt, 81, formerly of Chadbourn, died Saturday, July 8, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. He was the son of the late Martha Walker Nance and John Henry Honeycutt Sr. and was also preceded in death by five siblings, Alice Honeycutt Treadway, Martha Ray Dalton, Beatrice Honeycutt Avant, John H. Honeycutt Jr. and Charlie Honeycutt.
He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army.
A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, July 11 at Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Robert Hill officiating. Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn is handling the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Sue Hipps Honeycutt of the home; three children, William Allen Honeycutt of Portage, Mich., Susan H. Cox of Irmo, S.C. and Richard F. Honeycutt of Grayson, Ga.; one brother, Leroy D. Honeycutt of Chadbourn; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
