Don’t miss the annual bus trip to New York City, sponsored by the Lake Waccamaw Depot Museum! Participants will stay at the fabulous Millennium Broadway Hotel, which is two blocks from Times Square and within walking distance of many sites. Since this is the weekend before Thanksgiving, participants can experience the splendor of NYC at Christmas time. The bus will leave Lake Waccamaw on Thursday, Nov. 21st at 8 pm and return on Sunday, Nov. 24th. You can ice skate at Rockefeller Center, eat soul food in Harlem or see the beautiful Grand Central Station near our hotel. The Christmas show at Rockefeller Center and many Broadway shows are always a treat and also within walking distance of the hotel. On Friday morning after breakfast, there will be a guided bus tour of the city with hop on, hop off opportunities, including the Ground Zero Memorial and the Statue of Liberty. The ticket includes three tours (downtown, uptown and a night tour of Brooklyn). The cost of this tour is not included in the price of the trip. On Saturday morning, you can take the subway to shop in Chinatown if you wish, and on Sunday morning, Phyllis Russ will take anyone interested to Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. The service is enjoyable, regardless of your denomination. Mark your calendars now and contact family and friends who might be interested in joining you on this exciting trip. Space is limited and we have already accepted reservations so don’t be left out! If you have any questions or are interested in the trip, call the Depot Museum at 910-646-1992 or email us at email@example.com
