Senate Leader Phil Berger (R-Rockingham) announced that Sen. Danny Earl Britt, Jr. (R-Robeson) was appointed to five interim committees following the end of the 2019 legislative session. Britt will serve as the co-chair of the Joint Legislative Emergency Management Oversight Committee and the Vice Chair of the Joint Legislative Oversight committee on Justice and Public Safety.

Britt will also serve on the joint legislative committees for Administrative Procedure Oversight, Commission on Governmental Operation, and Transportation Oversight.

“I want to thank Senator Berger for appointing me to these committees,” Britt said. “After seeing the devastation from hurricanes first-hand in my district, I look forward to working with my colleagues to help find solutions to better address emergency management situations and ensure state agencies are working on behalf of the citizens of North Carolina.”
