Sheriff’s office: children left alone with sawed-off shotgun, marijuana, cocaine

An investigation by the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office Vice-Narcotics Unit led to a trailer with four unsupervised small children, 183 grams of marijuana, 76 grams of cocaine, and an unsecured sawed-off shotgun, with the mother arrested a month later.

The investigation included undercover purchases of cocaine from a home at 7920 Hallsboro
