SHP: No fatalities in Columbus over Memorial Day weekend


The unofficial kickoff to summer last weekend brought no vehicle fatalities to Columbus County, according to the local troop of the N.C. State Highway Patrol.

First Sgt. A.M. Pait, based in Whiteville, said it was a “successful weekend” with no roadway deaths in the county.
