Chris Smith won an easy victory over Mack Ward Tuesday night in a “do-over” of a March Republican primary for the District 2 seat on the Columbus County board of commissioners. Smith will face incumbent Democrat James Prevatte for the post in the November general election
Smith had 230 votes, or 60.85 percent
