Post 137 blasts Jacksonville

Whiteville Post 137 banged out 12 hits and 15 runs in the first three innings to defeat Jacksonville Post 265 15-5 in a run-rule shortened contest Sunday at Legion Stadium. The game was originally scheduled for June 2.

Dawson Elliott slammed two doubles and drove in three runs. Brooks Baldwin and Scott Bowen also contributed two hits. Gage Hammonds added a single and walked thrice. AJ Brooks, Will Hinson, Noah Evington, Jeremiah Locklear and Daniel Carter had one hit each.

Locklear earned the win with two scoreless innings. Jacob Allgood and Brooks pitched in relief.

Whiteville Post 137 visits Wilmington Post 10 tonight (Monday).
