South Columbus got a partial repayment of a 10-year old debt, while Whiteville found the Mountain Heritage offense impossible to stop in NCHSAA 2A West second round playoff action.

South Columbus defeated Lincolnton 47-14. Lincolnton won the 2007 State 2A championship over a previously undefeated South Columbus team.

Whiteville’s offense scored on six of eight possessions, but failed to stop Mountain Heritage on any of its seven drives to fall 52-44.

East Bladen was a big winner over Greene Central 68-28. The other two Three Rivers teams in action, Red Springs and South Robeson suffered losses.

A more complete report will be available later.
