The West Columbus Boys Basketball season got off to a successful start as the Vikings defeated Green Sea- Floyds 69-60. Jake Brownlee led West Columbus with 29 points and 18 rebounds. Assistant coach Lamont Williamson led the team as Head Coach W.T. Edwards was absent due to the birth of his and wife Brittany’s first child. The West Columbus girls fell 47-29 to Green Sea-Floyds. Annela Tiffany led West with 11 points. The Viking Girls are now 1-3.

Whiteville’s girls dropped a non-conference road tilt to East Duplin 49-32. The Wolfpack is now 1-1.

West Columbus will host GSF Thursday evening in varsity girls and boys contests. A full Three Rivers Conference slate of games is scheduled for Friday, December 1.
