Below is the latest and hopefully last and most accurate 2018 North Carolina American Legion State Baseball Tournament schedule. Games will be played at Finch Field in High Point all five days. Thursday, High Point University will host two games. Friday and Saturday, UNC-Greensboro will be the site of two games each day. Sunday’s semi-finals and Monday’s championship game will be played at Finch Field.

Caldwell County, the #2 seed from Area IV will join Whiteville Post 137 in the “Stripes” Pool. The #1 seeds in the “Stripes” Pool are Area I winner Pitt County and Area III winner Rowan County.

The “Stars” Pool contains Area I top-seed Wilmington Post 10, Area IV winner Shelby, Area I #2 Garner and the host High Point team from Area III.

The games played at Finch Field games will be available at on a pay-per-view basis.

One interesting note, the Garner team, ranked #1 in North Carolina through the majority of the season goes into the tournament as a #2 seed due to a loss to Pitt County in a one-game playoff. The moral may be, don’t judge any team by its seed!
