Trafficker represents self, goes to jail

Schumann was convicted Thursday in a 2013 drug trafficking case.

A drug trafficker was sentenced to decades in prison and a $500,000 fine Thursday in Columbus County Superior Court.

“Flatbed” Fred Schumann was found guilty on eight counts of trafficking opium or heroin. He was sentenced to 225-282 months in prison and a mandatory fine of $500,000.
