Vaccinated N.C. residents could win $1 million – As state launches drawing, county expands outreach

NCDHHS data shows the social vulnerability of areas within Columbus County (red is the most vulnerable) and the vaccinated public over the age of 12 by census tract. The state’s social vulnerability measure takes into account households that speak limited English, households with no available vehicle and populations of African Americans, American Indians and Hispanics.

North Carolina residents who get a COVID-19 vaccine now have the chance to win $1 million, Gov. Roy Cooper announced Thursday.

“This is your shot at a million,” Cooper said. “Even if your name isn’t drawn, the worst you’ll do is get strong protection from a deadly virus.”
