‘We’re the little guys’ — Peacocks Stop’s owners say proposed roundabout threatens store

For 31 years, Peacocks Stop convenience store has serviced the Peacocks community nestled between Chadbourn and Southeastern Community College. 

Now its owners say that a roundabout proposed by the N.C. Department of Transportation for the intersection of Peacock Road and Chadbourn Highway threatens their multi-generational family business.
